The Fox Darkroom is proud to announce our 2017 international photographic workshop Tour du Mont Blanc – France & Italy.
28 August – 1 September, 2017
“This workshop is for those who are willing to take that extra step to get that perfect photo. What better motivation than the awe-inspiring Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB). Our tour will take you by foot through some of the best valleys, passes and alpine views on the planet.”
Participants can expect to be pushed both physically and creatively to get the most out of this once in a lifetime adventure. Fall into the routine of hiking, simple living and breathing photography. This workshop has a strong emphasis on landscape photography although plenty of colourful characters can be found during the days and especially at the remote mountain huts (refuges) that we stay in most nights.
Our participants will return both fit, inspired to pursue their next step in photography and armed with a strong series of images that you are truly proud of. Both film and/or digital media welcome.
Our workshops are designed for adventurers. Our TMB workshop is one part photography one part hiking. Participants need to have at least a moderate level of fitness with walking experience being preferable. Each person will be required to carry a backpack containing clothes, water, living essentials and camera equipment. Ample photographic opportunities are available throughout the day and evening. Expect one-on-one guidance aimed at taking your photography prowess to the next level.
After a day of hiking returning to the simple comfort of our refuge style accommodation is most welcoming. Expect simple dormitory style sleeping, hot showers (most of the time), hearty dinners and breakfasts. Each refuge also provides bar facilities where you can relax with a drink and reflect on the day’s happenings in front of some of the most picturesque views imaginable.
Cost: $3,500 AUD. Includes all workshop sessions, accommodation, internal transport, breakfasts and dinners. A non-refundable deposit of $650 AUD secures a place on the workshop; the remainder is payable no less than two months before the workshop starting date.
Dates: 28 August – 1 September, 2017
Please Note: All participants are required to provide proof of medical/travel insurance.
It will an incredible experience – it would be great to have you along!
