Nick Hinches series ‘The Space In Between’ is the product of a 3000km journey tracing snow covered roads carved out of volcanic rock between mountain and sea. The series explores today’s modern life in a sparsely populated Icelandic landscape, where signs of humanity are often more visible than life itself.
The series showcases a series of large format prints highlighting the vastitude of the landscape. Imagery was produced in both colour and black & white film during Nick’s expedition earlier this year.
Nick’s photographic journey has emerged over the years as he documented the streets of Melbourne, with a focus on life within the urban landscapes.
More recently Nick transitioned into photographic story telling of typical family & human life before embarking on his latest adventure to Iceland.
He has exhibited in multiple group exhibitions and launched his first solo exhibition with ‘The Space In Between’ at Fox Gallery in November 2018.
