“For photographers and adventurers alike, I couldn’t recommend the Fox’s Cambodia Workshop more highly. Life in the province of Siem Reap is filled with so much colour and activity, there are opportunities at every turn to discover the beautiful and the bizarre in equal measure. With Tom and Harriet’s guidance, and the local knowledge of their team of drivers, we were able to bypass the tour-bus version of Cambodia and dive head first into a genuine experience of life as it is lived by the people. The spirit of hospitality and openness of the people of Siem Reap made for one of the greatest pleasures of the trip, as over the course of the week we were welcomed into homes, workplaces, and places of worship, and found that complete strangers from all over were happy to strike up conversation. Our local guides were a boon in this respect, helping us to bridge the language barrier, and gain access to people and places that would be impossible on our own. As photographers though, this turned out to be essential. Tom and Harriet set individual assignments that truly challenged us to go out, investigate, and pursue our ideas with whatever resources we could muster, and the camaraderie that developed in our eclectic little group over our individual missions made the experience all the more rewarding. Wrapping up our workshop, sitting on the restaurant terrace overlooking the river that runs through the downtown heart, and reflecting on the mad adventures of the week, it was hard not to be swayed by the rough and forthright charm of this bustling regional city. Through individually tailoring the level of autonomy and support, the workshop is sure to be of benefit to both experienced and aspiring photographers. And to anyone with an adventurous spirit, Siem Reap promises to deliver in unique and unexpected ways. Don’t think twice.”
